Job Description

Concorde Education is looking for a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team. Under the guidance of the Director of Educational Development, you will plan and lead collaborative and interactive sessions focused on computer science and coding. Your role will be to inspire students to develop their coding abilities while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meet with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Plan and facilitate interactive computer science and coding learning sessions.
  • Assist students in developing and enhancing their coding skills.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Model appropriate academic and social behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Teaching and/or tutoring experience.
  • Extensive experience in computer science and coding.
  • Ability to work with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Scratch, Blockly, and Python.
  • Ability to create unit and lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Capable of collecting and analyzing data to inform future instruction.
  • Independent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to instruct students of varying skill and experience levels across multiple programs.
