Rig Operator Job Responsibilities:

As a Rig Operator with Alemtiaz Alkuwaiti Logistics Services Co., your responsibilities will include the following:

• Managing and controlling the drilling rig’s machinery and equipment to drill holes for oil and gas extraction.
• Continuously observing drilling operations to ensure the process runs smoothly and efficiently, making adjustments as necessary.
• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition and prevents breakdowns.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to protect the crew and environment, conducting safety drills, and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Overseeing the activities of the rig crew, providing training and guidance, and ensuring that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Managing the preparation, maintenance, and disposal of drilling fluids (mud), including mixing chemicals and testing fluid properties.
• Reading and interpreting data from various sensors and instruments to monitor the well’s conditions and make informed decisions during drilling.
• Keeping lines of communication with supervisors and other key personnel to report progress, issues, and any necessary changes to the drilling plan.
• Being prepared to respond to emergencies, such as blowouts, equipment failures, or other hazardous situations, by following established emergency procedures.
• Keeping accurate records of drilling activities, equipment usage, maintenance performed, and incidents, and submitting reports as required.

Rig Operator Qualifications and Requirements
