Job Description:

Al Nahiya Group seeking a skilled and experienced Fireman for a contract hire/long-term position in Abu Dhabi. This role involves operating safety equipment, responding to fire alarms, and conducting rescue operations. The ideal candidate will have significant firefighting experience, preferably within airports, ports, and offshore environments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate all safety equipment and attend incidents involving oil, toxic gas releases, fires, and more.
• Maintain firefighting equipment, safety equipment, and PPE in good operational condition.
• Utilize firefighting and rescuing equipment such as aerial ladders, axes, and fire hoses.
• Attend incidents with required vehicles and equipment as directed by the Safety Foreman or Chief Fireman.
• Arrange medical and special fire brigade support as needed.
• Conduct firefighting and rescue activities during emergencies, daily safety patrols, and heliport standby.
• Participate in mutual aid agreements and pre-arranged incident responses, ensuring all equipment is maintained in working condition.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent, or a college/vocational course in fire protection technology.
• NFPA Level 1 and 2 certification (or British equivalent) may be required.
• Emergency medical care training courses and certificates.
• UAE Driving Licence (both heavy and light vehicle preferable).
• 5 years of relevant experience as a professional firefighter, preferably in airports, ports, and offshore environments.
• Preferable work experience in the UAE.
• Expert knowledge and skill in firefighting, rescue, and first aid.
• Expert knowledge of PPE requirements and OH&S safety regulations and standards.
• Good knowledge of local and international legislation and regulations related to firefighting.
