How does it work?
Galaxy AI uses the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) inside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset as the dedicated brain for AI functions in the Samsung S24 series.

Handling complex calculations, it supports features like Magic Eraser, a tool found on Google Pixel phones. The NPU acts as the brain of Galaxy AI, a chip specifically designed to process information for AI tasks efficiently.

According to the company, Galaxy AI will improve the quality of photos and videos taken by the phone. In particular, the Pro Visual Engine included in the phone will help enhance or edit the quality of photos taken in collaboration with AI.
Galaxy AI makes even low-light videos and photos look stunning in the right light. Digital zooming can increase the noise in images. The company claims that AI reduces noise. The 50-megapixel sensor offers five times optical zoom capability.
Samsung S24 series users can use Magic Eraser like the Pixel 8 series. If you need to increase the edge of the photo, if you need to change the object’s position in the picture, you can easily edit it.
Similarly, even simple videos shot on the phone can be turned into slow-motion clips with the help of AI. AI will automatically add the required frame to the video to create slow motion. Is Galaxy AI even available on older Samsung phones?
However, the company launched the Galaxy AI alongside the S24 series. In the initial phase, these features have been made available in the update to UI 6.1.
So far, the company has provided software and hardware features for expensive phones. Still, special features are also available on other phones. So these features are expected to come in the older models as well.
However, some features are said to be supported only by devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset or Exinus 2400 chipset.
The company said these features will also be available in the old model. A UI 6.0 update is now available for phones before the S24 series. So, after the UI 6.1 update, these features are expected to be used on older phones.
