British Gurkha Overseas Services Pvt. Ltd (BGOS) was established in 1998. Since its inception, BGOS has operated as a subcontractor for Gorkha International Manpower Services Limited (GIMS), headquartered in Hong Kong. The primary focus of the BGOS is to recruit skilled former Gurkhas from the British and Indian Armies and the Gurkha contingent of the Singapore Police Force. These individuals are deployed internationally, working aboard cruise liners in various capacities or on land, often in roles such as security personnel and sometimes in other capacities.
As the business gradually expanded, responding to customer demands, BGOS expanded its recruitment scope. Initially, the company began to include genuine Nepalese citizens with non-military backgrounds, as well as retired personnel of the Nepalese Army and Police Force, regardless of gender. These individuals were required to demonstrate their ability to meet the expectations of client companies.
BGOS holds a license from the Government of Nepal (License Number: 104/054/055) to recruit individuals for overseas employment. The company carefully completes all the legal formalities required by the Ministry of Labor before confirming the departure of its employees abroad.
