Job Description
The Storekeeper plays a crucial role in supporting the university’s operational efficiency by managing the flow of goods and maintaining accurate inventory records. This position is vital for ensuring that all departments have the necessary supplies and equipment, contributing directly to the university’s mission.
Responsibilities:
As a Storekeeper at AURAK, your primary duties will include:
- Performing duties to support shipping and receiving operations.
- Coordinating and managing deliveries efficiently.
- Organising and coordinating stock within the warehouse.
- Accurately documenting all warehouse transactions.
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records.
- Overseeing the storage and organisation of surplus inventory.
- Coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Facilitating effective communication and coordination between purchasers and requestors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a storekeeper in an educational setting
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in record keeping
- Able to maintain accurate inventory
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles
- High level of accuracy in counting, labeling, and data entry
- Solid knowledge of warehouse management practices
- Excellent supplier coordination skills for deliveries
