Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Cashier to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, detail-oriented, and capable of handling transactions accurately and efficiently. The Cashier is responsible for processing refunds, exchanges, and managing the cash drawer. Additionally, they are expected to provide customers with a positive experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform job tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon serving.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Receive payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Make suggestive selling to customers.
• Operate the system quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain the cash register clean and organized.
• Count and manage the opening and closing balances of the cash register.
• Attend regular departmental briefings and contribute to open communication within the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in English.
• In-depth knowledge of operating a cash register and maintaining a cash drawer.
• Strong skills in performing monetary transactions.
• Basic computer knowledge, with recommended experience in software.
• Customer-oriented with a positive attitude and a friendly demeanour.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• A cooperative team spirit and high energy level.
