Job Description

Rumble’s finance team is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to provide leadership and oversight for technical accounting guidance and support to stakeholders. This position acts as the subject matter expert in accounting standards and complex accounting issues.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare formal accounting position papers and memos for complex, material, and/or unique accounting issues
• Support and guide business partners on the accounting and reporting implications of transactions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies
• Assist in operationalizing financial reporting, risk management reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements and needs
• Provide consultation, advice, and day-to-day guidance regarding technical accounting as the subject matter expert
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Stay current on applicable and evolving financial reporting standards, securities, regulatory requirements, and developing accounting/business issues
• Participate in the preparation of internal and external financial statements
• Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews as required
• Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers
• Contribute to building the technical infrastructure and control environment to support the company’s hyper-growth
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience
• CPA designation (or equivalent) required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong collaboration and organization skills
• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to take initiative and learn
• Effective written and oral communication skills to articulate and present memos to internal and external stakeholders
• Capable of working with minimal supervision, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of NetSuite is considered an asset
• Experience working with media and/or technology companies is preferred
• Open to candidates located in Sarasota, FL, Miami, FL, Washington D.C., or San Francisco, CA
