Baker Job Responsibilities:

As a Baker with Vevey Pies and Pastry Co., your responsibilities will include the following:

• Preparing Doughs and Batters: Mix and prepare various doughs and batters for bread, pastries, pies, and cakes according to recipes.
• Baking Products: Operate ovens and other baking equipment to bake bread, cakes, pies, and pastries.
• Decorating Baked Goods: Apply icings, glazes, and other toppings to decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Ensuring Quality: Maintain high standards for taste, texture, and appearance of all baked products.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the bakery area clean and sanitized, including all baking tools and equipment.
• Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to ensure availability of necessary ingredients.
• Recipe Development: Develop and test new recipes for cakes, pastries, pies, and other baked goods.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers to take special orders, provide product information, and ensure satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely preparation of baked goods.

Baker Qualifications and Requirements

You must have the following to apply for the Baker position at Vevey Pies and Pastry Co.

• Minimum Education Qualification: SLC
• Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
• Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
• Understanding of food safety practices (Insert State/City Qualification Needed)
• Experience with cake decoration techniques
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
