Sony China today announced the upcoming release of the Sony Xperia 5 IV smartphone , which is already available for pre-order across China.
Sales in China will begin on October 20.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB flash version of the Sony Xperia 5 IV is priced at $875.
It is a flagship with a small 6.1-inch screen and a body width of 67mm, smaller than Xiaomi 12S and Samsung Galaxy S22. The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and weighs only 172 g, the same as the iPhone 14 .
The Sony Xperia 5 IV uses an OLED HDR screen, Qualcomm ‘s flagship Snapdragon 8 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage, and three 12-megapixel image sensors on the back. It supports 30W wired charging and unknown wattage wireless charging. The smartphone complies with the IP68 protection class.
The Sony Xperia 5 IV also supports surround sound and Hi-Res audio. There is a 3.5 mm jack and support for DSEE Ultimate and LDAC technologies. It is important to note that in the box there is not only a charger, but also a data cable. The spokesman stated that this was done in order to save energy, reduce emissions and protect the environment.
