Job Description:

Join their finance team at Minor Hotels’ Maroochydore Head Office as a full-time property accountant. This is a rare opportunity to work with a global hospitality leader, where your skills and career development will be supported and invested in. You will be part of a collaborative and experienced team, contributing to the financial success of our properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Profit & Loss reporting and variance analysis for a portfolio of properties
  • Standard end-of-month journals including accruals, revenue and classes for a portfolio of properties
  • Expense allocations across the group
  • Monthly Revenue, Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations
  • AR Receipting
  • Internal and external invoicing
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Attending to Finance Help Desk queries
  • Assisting properties with all finance-related queries
  • Review reports from our Property Management System and identify any errors requiring correction before EOM

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in finance or accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and maturity
  • Solid data entry skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Availability to work full-time hours, Monday – Friday
