Jasprit Bumrah, who has been sidelined since September 2022, is all set to make his long-awaited return to international cricket after being declared fit again. After being added to the ODI squad, he is expected to play against Sri Lanka this month.
Bumrah’s home T20I series against Australia was Bumrah’s last appearance for India before he was sidelined with a back strain reaction. He was rehabilitated before being declared fit by the NCA and Bumrah missed the T20 World Cup in Australia.
India has already included Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Mohammad Siraj, and Mohammad Shami in the Indian cricket team for the series against Sri Lanka. The series will start on January 10 in Guwahati. With Australia set to tour India next month for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Jasprit Bumrah’s return is a timely boost for the senior team.
