Xiaomi Officially Launches Redmi K50i 5G Smartphone Powered by Dimensity 8100 Chipset

 Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new smartphone under the marketing name Redmi K50i 5G . The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and uses a 6.6-inch LCD display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It uses a 5080mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

The screen is a Fringe Field Switching (FFS) variant and is the first Redmi phone to support Dolby Vision. A 1080 x 2460 pixel matrix is ​​protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and a 16 MP selfie camera is placed in its center cutout. The phone has two Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers as well as a high-impedance headphone jack.

At the back, there is a 64 MP main camera based on the ISOCELL GW 1 sensor. There is also an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle module and a 2 MP macro camera. The smartphone runs on the Android 12 operating system with the MIUI 13 shell. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 are implemented here, and there is also an infrared port.

Redmi K50i 5G is available in black, blue and silver colors. In Indian retail, the phone starts at INR 25,999 ($325) for the base 6GB/128GB variant. The 8/128 GB model will cost 28,999 rupees ($362) . Open sales will start on July 23 at midnight.
