Amazon Loss Prevention Internship 2026: Start Your Security Career in a Real-World Operations Environment

Amazon Loss Prevention Internship

Company: Amazon.com Services LLC
Location: West Deptford, United state
Position: Loss Prevention Internship

If you’re studying criminology, criminal justice, or anything related to security and you’ve been wondering how to break into a career that actually lets you use those skills, this internship is a strong starting point. Amazon is opening its 10-week Loss Prevention Internship for Summer 2026, and it puts you right inside the heart of Amazon Operations. This is hands-on, real-environment work inside a fulfillment center or other warehouse location, not a corporate office.

You’ll work with experienced Loss Prevention leaders, learn how large-scale operations secure their people and assets, and lead a project that ties everything together.

About the Role

The Loss Prevention Internship gives you a front-row seat to how Amazon protects employees, inventory, data, buildings, and equipment across its massive logistics network. You’ll be helping the Loss Prevention Manager with day-to-day operations, investigations, access control, and site-wide improvement initiatives.

You’re not just shadowing. You’re expected to take ownership of a real project that improves efficiency, reduces loss, or strengthens compliance inside your assigned fulfillment center.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll spend the summer working on tasks like:

• Leading an intern project focused on improving standard work and efficiency
• Assisting with internal and external theft or fraud investigations
• Managing access controls to protect confidential data
• Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
• Partnering with cross-functional teams like HR, Finance, WHS, Corporate Audit, RME, and more
• Identifying security risks and recommending improvements
• Collecting and analyzing operational and security data
• Helping maintain a safe and secure workplace for employees and visitors

What Your Day Might Look Like

Your day will involve walking the facility, checking security systems, discussing workflow with managers, reviewing incident data, and supporting ongoing investigations. You’ll see how Amazon moves millions of items through the first mile, second mile, and last mile — and how Loss Prevention keeps that ecosystem safe.

It’s very physical work. You’ll be on your feet, navigating large buildings, and sometimes climbing stairs or ladders. You’ll also spend plenty of time analyzing data and working directly with leadership.
