Job Description:
This role is for a SEN Teaching Assistant in a special school based in Hambridge. The school supports pupils with speech and language impairments, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, and moderate to severe learning needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide both classroom and 1:1 support to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, helping them transition to GCSEs and further education. The school values a positive and flexible attitude, aiming to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Offer general classroom and 1:1 support for students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Assist tutors in meeting the learning needs of students
- Be a positive role model for students
- Follow instructions from peers and work collaboratively
- Support students in their transition to GCSEs, apprenticeships, college, etc.
- Be available as a standby for staff absences and provide flexible cover
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Confidence and maturity in dealing with special educational needs
- Passion for helping students with speech, language, and learning difficulties
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Flexibility to support various students and staff members
Salary & Benefits
- £93 – £95 per day
- Full-time, permanent position
- Term-time hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
