And on July 4, the company announced the Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition. As the name suggests, this is a special edition based on the Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. Lei Jun, who heads Xiaomi, published a post on the Weibo social network, where he announced the start date for sales of the new flagship.
According to him, the novelty will arrive on the trading floors of China on July 12, 2022.
The smartphone inherited from its predecessor LTPO2 Samsung E5’s 6.73-inch AMOLED display, providing a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a 32 MP selfie camera. At the same time, the rear camera went to the gadget from the base model Xiaomi 12 – the design includes the main Sony IMX707 module at 50 MP, the “wide-angle” at 13 MP, and the sensor at 5 MP. Battery capacity has increased from 4600 to 5160 mAh, and wired charging power is 67W instead of 120W.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition smartphone, equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage, is estimated by the manufacturer at $606. A more expensive edition with a 12GB/256GB memory kit will cost the Chinese consumer $680.
