According to network sources, the upcoming Redmi K50S smartphone will be the most affordable flagship device built on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile processor.
According to available information, the base version of the smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB flash drive will cost 2,999 yuan in China, equivalent to $448. At the moment, the cheapest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-based flagship is the Nubia Z40S Pro, which is offered for 3399 yuan, i.e. $508.
In total, at least four smartphones on this platform are expected to be released in August. In addition to Redmi K50S, OnePlus 10T, Moto X30 Pro, and Moto Razr 2022 smartphones will be released.
Leaks attribute the future Redmi flagship to a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 20MP selfie camera, a triple rear camera with a 200MP main module, and a capacious 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging. In the maximum configuration, the smartphone will receive 12 GB of LPDDR5 “RAM” and a 512 GB UFS 3.1 flash drive. The operating system will be Android 12 with a proprietary interface MIUI 13.
