Job Opening for Baggage Porter at Four-Star Hotel in St. Paul’s Bay/Bugibba

Our hotel is growing and we’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Front Office Department as a Porter. As a Porter, you’ll be reporting directly to the Front Office Manager.

As a dedicated Baggage Porter, you’ll be responsible for making our guests feel at home. Your role will include showing guests to their rooms, making sure everything is prepared correctly, and ensuring that all utilities are in working order. If you notice anything that needs maintenance, you should report it to the relevant department.

The ideal candidate for this position should be friendly, detail-oriented, professional, and have a client-oriented approach. You should also have a good knowledge of the city you work in.

Your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting guests at the hotel entrance, assisting with offloading and carrying baggage, showing guests to their rooms, checking utilities, reporting any issues, arranging transport for guests, providing information on tourist attractions, keeping the lobby neat and tidy, and assisting guests with check-out.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent, a good knowledge of the city and surrounding areas, attention to detail, good manners, and the ability to work well with others.
