Job Description:
Long-term Teachers Ltd is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in Saltash. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive learning environment, assisting children on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and supporting classroom activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN/SEMH needs
- Assist in reading, writing, and math development
- Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment
- Adapt to the needs of each child and be personable
- Collaborate with other staff members for student success
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in the UK (early years, primary, or secondary education)
- Strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
- Resilient, adaptable, and hardworking
- Willingness to develop professionally and enhance SEN knowledge
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
SEMH Teaching Assistant Salary & Benefits
