Job Description
Bristol Waste Company is currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Loaders to join their team in Avonmouth. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for individuals who enjoy staying active. You will be responsible for loading and unloading waste and recycling materials, adhering to customer requirements, company procedures, and legal regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect refuse and recyclable materials from individual customers, sorting, separating, and bulking them as necessary.
- Ensure safe lifting and working practices, and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Use mobile IT equipment to complete daily paperwork.
- Provide customer information and respond professionally to any queries or concerns.
- Stay in contact with your line manager and assist with operational needs, including reporting any opportunities for commercial growth.
- Work flexibly across different services such as Street Cleansing, Garden Waste, and Recycling at various Bristol Waste locations.
- Comply with all company reporting procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to handle physically demanding work, including pushing/pulling waste bins and lifting materials to 25kg.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a small team.
- Ability to use IT systems and show initiative.
- Demonstrated flexibility in work assignments.
Loader Salary & Benefits:
- SALARY: £29,574 per annum
