Cashier Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a warm, friendly welcome.
- Scan items and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and changes to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Bag groceries or merchandise as needed.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Follow store policies and procedures for returns and exchanges.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
