Bigmart Supermarket Nepal is looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join their team as a Store In-charge (Trainee). This position is available in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.

Job Description

The Store In-charge (Trainee) will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the establishment and compliance of store’s short-term and long-term goals with overall company objectives.
  • Following and enforcing store and company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively taking on any other duties assigned by management.
  • Delivering and excelling in benchmark customer service standards.
  • Handling customer complaints and feedback on the spot.
  • Conducting periodic inventory control and security checks.
  • Overseeing inventory management to ensure the outlet is sufficiently equipped for daily operational needs.
  • Ensuring visual display and merchandising standards are met.
  • Managing all employees, including proper rostering, attendance, coaching/counseling, discipline, grievance handling, terminations, and evaluations, and maintaining positive employee morale.
  • Ensuring accuracy in all recording and reporting, and preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and other periodic reports.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications: Must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: Must have 2-3 years of experience in FMCG / Retail / Other service industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong command of both English and Nepali (verbal and written).
  • Adaptable, with the ability to thrive in dynamic and changing environments.
  • Ability to lead, motivate/mentor, communicate, and generally interact with people in a positive way.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of departmental processes and operational workflows.
  • Knowledge of retail management principles and best practices.
  • Flexible with working hours and willing to travel as required.
  • Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle.
