
Dragonara Gaming Ltd, located in Malta, is currently seeking a full-time Surveillance Operator to join their team.
Job Role:
As a Surveillance Officer, your primary responsibility will be to perform surveillance duties to ensure compliance with laws, in-house gaming policies, and procedures. You will use complex electronic and video equipment to monitor the gaming floor while maintaining exceptional guest relations. In this role, you will report to the Surveillance Shift Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Observe, monitor, and record all activities in the casino area using video and audio technologies. Maintain written records of observations.
- Document events in table games, slots, cages, count rooms, and bar areas.
- Possess a working knowledge of credit procedures, cash transaction reports, company procedures, and regulatory regulations.
- Perform duties in accordance with company standards and gaming regulations.
- Assist in coordinating and resolving emergency situations.
- Promptly report irregularities and deviations from procedures to management.
- Demonstrate commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Use PC applications such as Microsoft or reporting software to document suspicious activity.
- Fulfill any other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Typically, the necessary knowledge and abilities are acquired through completion of a high school education. Additionally, a minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in a security-related field and gaming-related positions (Cage, Slot, Table Games, or Audit) is preferred. Strong analytical, observational, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Previous experience in casino surveillance or related surveillance roles is an asset.
Additional Requirements (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
- Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/certifications.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
- Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry is desirable.
Knowledge of:
- Casino table games.
- Computer applications.
- Writing reports related to surveillance.
- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment used for 24/7 monitoring of the facility.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Ability to work overtime and change shifts on short notice.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
